Through light, we created a unique experience without detracting from the simplicity and quiet of the gardens. The lighting design, inspired by traditional Japanese ceremonies, includes unobtrusive systems that highlight nature and complement the changing seasons. Reflected light keeps wood surfaces warm and soft, while intentionally lit screen elements inside allow the building to glow like a lantern at night.
